From the desk of Rev. Rugley Monroe:
Let brotherly love continue (Hebrews 13:1). Now therefore give me this mountain, where of the
Lord spake in that day (when He appointed me).
Joshua 14:12
As Caleb requested of Joshua and received a tough challenge, I have accepted greater challenges in
my pastoral ministry. The Lord has tremendously blessed El Bethel. I am committed to seeking out
lost souls for Christ.
As we approach our next endeavor, I want to admonish you to remain focused. With the coming of
each new pursuit, there also comes new challenges. Therefore, let us not rest on past
accomplishments. Press forward with all diligence.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to
the power that worketh in us. (Ephesians 3:30)

A Word from the Pastor and First Lady
From the desk of the First Lady, Sis. Atherlene Monroe:
On this forty-third year of pastoral leadership and fifty-five years of preaching the word of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, I know fifty-three years have been a long time, yet a short while to
do the work of the master.
I know that you have been laboring in God’s vineyard faithfully, but as Job said, “I will wait until
my change come.” I encourage you to wait as Job did. As it is written in Hebrews 12:2, “Looking
unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,” remember Rev. Monroe to, “Count it all joy when
meeting various trials, knowing
that the testing of your faith produces patience.” James 1:2
Blessed is the man who endures trials, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of
life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
For God said in I Corinthians 2:9, eye have not seen, ear have not heard, nor have it entered into the
heat of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. I Love you!
Your Wife,
Mrs. Atherlene Monroe
